ACT Africa is call to action. A challenge to define a new development pathway. A pursuit of meaningful change in Africa.
ACT Africa was born out of a strong conviction by the founders for organic, citizens-led and transformational change across Africa. That conviction is motivated by the potential for meaningful change by harnessing and optimizing the continent’s resources through a sustainable approach underpinned by homegrown ethos that emphasizes Africa’s interest first. A shift from the traditional approach to development work that is externally induced to one that puts African leadership and transformational philosophies at the front and centre of all we do – as espoused by the great ancient African kingdoms, the anti-colonial & liberation movements and the modern day concept of African renaissance.
We apply collaborative approaches in our work with communities, local authorities, businesses and governments to co-create homegrown, sustainable and meaningful change across Africa in our governance, public finance management, natural resource management and the use of modern technology to make life better for our people.
We are an independent, non-profit and Pan-African team of dedicated professionals using data and robust analyses to engineer tailored solutions to some of the most compelling challenges of Africa today.
