PEOPLE & POWER

Rapid changes in technology and in society are affecting and challenging our traditional assumptions about how democracies work.

Skin that glows, guaranteed.

DEVELOPING DEMOCRACIES

Developing and developed democracies alike are facing difficult choices in adopting and in regulating technology use for beneficial democratic outcomes. In addition, the democratic building processes and institutions will remain partial and flawed if they continue to exclude or marginalize women, youth, people living with disabilities and minorities both as protagonists and as beneficiaries of democratic changes.

To navigate these challenges and choices, policymakers and practitioners need access to comparative knowledge, best practice examples, conversations with like-minded peers, as well as analysis and advice customized to local context.

At ACT Africa our aim is to provide the platform to interrogate our traditional assumptions about how democracies work within the broader context of change
